Cedars Edge Farm

There are 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a beautiful queen size bed, and an ensuite washroom, the front bedroom has a double bed. The larger bedroom has 2 bunk beds, double lower bunk, single upper bunk, great for all the kids to stay together. A separate sitting room with second TV doubles as a fourth bedroom. All bedding and pillows are included. A large living room with lots of seating and a wood stove for atmosphere. The large country kitchen is fully equipped, including a harvest table that seats 12, dishes, cutlery, pots, casseroles, microwave, stove, fridge, and dishwasher all new Dec. 2005. With a large Harvest table that seats 12 the whole family can enjoy meals together. If you want a break from cooking there is a great variety of restaurants in the area. There are small cafes, bistro''s, to Italian, casual dining to fine dining, reservations required, you have a choice.
New furniture, beds and appliances were installed December 2005. Central air conditioning added in 2007

There is a propane BBQ, picnic table, deck chairs, fire pit, to enjoy the outside. You get a front row seat to watch our pet alpacas playing in the pasture. All of the facilities of Cedars Cottage Resort, right next door are included. Children love to play on our shallow, sandy beach. Meet at the outdoor heated swimming pool(open mid-June to Labour Day). We also have a games room with pool table, shuffleboard, table tennis and board games.

The use of canoes and peddle boats, life jackets and water safety kits are included. Rental motor boats are available next door. Lake Eugenia is well known for its great bass fishing.

Cedars is only minutes from the Bruce Trail, Canada''s oldest and longest marked trail. The Beaver Valley is a great place to start on the trail. Enjoy the incredible view from on top of Old Baldy. There are several hikes available from this area. Cedars has several golf courses within a short distance and the back roads are great for cycling. For the alpine skiers we are close to some of Ontario''s most popular ski slopes, Talisman, Beaver Valley, Blue Mountain. For those who enjoy cross country skiing we are a 15 minute drive from Kolapore Uplands Wilderness Area. The scenery is incredible, there are 7 waterfalls in Grey County, look out over Beaver Valley from the top of Old Baldy Mountain, explore the Feversham Gorge. Visit the Scenic Caves near Collingwood. Come visit in the fall and enjoy the coloured leaves.

Enjoy our 40 acres for nature walks. Walk through the fields and down to the undisturbed shores at the south end of Lake Eugenia. There you may see deer, beaver, herons, loons and many other types of wildlife. Walk up to the barn and meet our pet alpacas. In the winter bring your own cross country skis or snowshoes and blaze your own trail. Bring your skates, weather permitting we have our own ice rink.

Cedars makes a good home base for sight seeing, we are only 2 hours from downtown Toronto and everything it has to offer. Visit Niagara Falls one of the great wonders of the world, only 2 1/2 hours away.
