Description
Slatters Cottage is a luxury Grade II listed 17th century stone cottage lovingly restored and available for self catering holiday lets all year round.

The cottage is situated in a quiet country lane with lovely views of the rolling hills and the beautiful Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Hill.

It has a wealth of character. On the ground floor is the kitchen and the lounge/dining area with a large inglenook fireplace with log burning stove. Both have exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings. There is also an adjoining toilet and utility room.

Upstairs are one double (with 5’ pocket sprung mattress) and one single bedroom, sleeping up to three people (plus baby), with lovely views over the village, and the bathroom with bath and shower-over-bath.

The cottage is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and gas central heating. It also has colour TV’s, Digital TV Freeview Box, DVD player, CD/MP3 player and radio. There are a wide range of books, more than 120 DVDs, 150 music CDs and many games provided.

There is a payphone and you can get mobile reception (dependant upon your network). There is off-road parking directly outside the cottage for one car and further parking spaces are always available on the road directly by the cottage.

Linen and towels are provided free of charge. A travel cot (no bedding provided) and high chair can be provided at no extra cost. One well behaved dog is welcome (downstairs only) on request, for a small additional charge.

Located in the North Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Hill is ideally situated to act as your central base for visiting the many wonderful sites in the area from Warwick/Stratford-on-Avon to the North, Cheltenham & Bath to the South and the beauty spots of Broadway, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and "The Slaughters", to name but a few, are all nearer to hand. Walks The Cotswolds invites walkers of all abilities be it a hike along the Cotswold Way or a stroll through country lanes that give up their secrets at every turn. Gardens If visiting gardens is your pleasure then using Slatters Cottage as a base will not disappoint you. From cottage gardens to arboretums there is plenty on offer. Sites to See Visitors of all ages cannot fail to find places of interest to visit. Perhaps one of the many sites steeped in history such as Warwick Castle or maybe one of the picturesque Cotswold villages such as Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water or Upper/Lower Slaughter. Food and Drink Visiting restaurants and pubs serving good food and drink will no doubt be an important part of your holiday. Bourton-on-the-Hill and its surrounding areas will provide many such wonderful opportunities. Activities and Events See Shakespearean plays, hear musical events, visit country shows or enjoy the many other activities and venues associated with the Cotswolds. Racing, Golfing & Fishing Race meetings take place at Bath, Cheltenham, Stratford, Warwick and Worcester. Alternatively, you may wish to pass time angling for a fish supper. Antiques and Fairs There are many fine antique shops in the Cotswolds as well as antique centres and fairs. Plenty to keep you busy and to spend your money on !
