||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Bohol Island is a province in Central Visayas with Tagbilaran as its capital city. Both Boracay and Bohol have long stretches of fine white sand, Bohol is chosen by tourists who prefer to commune with nature. Though the climate in Bohol is mostly dry, rain is usual from the months of June to October. Southwest of Tagbilaran is Panglao Island a top tourist destination because of its miles of pristine white beaches and interesting diving sites. The bulk of high-class and modern hotels are located in Bolod Beach, the longest beach in the area. However there are also budget accommodations scattered along the stretch of Panglao's coast. Pamilican Island is famous for whale and dolphin-watching. During favourable weather conditions, dolphins and whales are seen frolicking near the shore. Tourists line up the shore on early mornings to see if they'd be lucky to catch the early morning “show”. Loboc River is a popular attraction in Bohol too. Tourists cruise the river in boats whilst they are served lunch. The boat stops at designated makeshift stages along the river bank where the locals entertain tourists with their singing and dancing. Though Bohol is famous for its water attractions, it also have one of the Philippine's natural wonders-its Chocolate hills. Its famous Chocolate hills are mounds of numerous hills clustered together and are uniform in size and height. They look like chocolate cones especially during the summer season when the hills have no vegetation. These hills are called the Jewel of the Philippines and are indeed one of the prides of the country. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
