What to Bring on a Skiing Holiday |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Going on a skiing holiday sounds pretty sporty and glamorous. Packing the right stuff for a ski holiday is quite daunting. If you intend to snowboard, packing one is fairly easy as a snowboard is small and portable. If you intend to ski and bring your own ski and poles, then that is quite a “huge” problem. If you are not particularly fussy with your equipment, you can opt to book equipment rentals in advance at the resort. Another option is for you to buy new skis and poles at the shops in and around the ski resort. You can make arrangement to the shop owner to sell back your skis after. You need to pack ski jackets, ski suits and thick sweaters. These are bulky items and will surely take up a lot of space in a suitcase. If your ski holiday is for two weeks, you would need to bring two big luggage to fit all your ski clothes and other clothing. If you are traveling with your family, woe on you! Call the resort and ask if you could send them a box full of your ski clothes and keep it for you until you come. The resort manager will normally agree so pack all your ski suits and jackets in one box, address it to yourself and mail it to the ski lodge. Pack some clothes and shoes for dining and nightlife. Bring appropriate clothes - fashionable yet comfortably warm. Do not forget any prescription medicine that you take. If you are traveling abroad for your ski holiday, make sure you have your passport and other necessary travel documents with you. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
